Supported by my family with whom I treasure.

Am passionate about sewing and handcrafting with care.
And hope your favorite bag comes from JWEAR!

JWEAR Inc. is a small business that provides handcrafted bags of various types, wallets, totes, etc. for anyone, sewn with quality and care. Our hope is to provide each of you with JWEAR bags and wallets that are functional and appeal to you, your family and friends. We will keep inventory on hand of ready to ship items. But will also custom make your desired items with your favorite colors, materials and/or theme. We have a huge variety of bag styles, so there is something for everyone!

How did this all start? First, my husband and I have been married for 33 years. We have been blessed with two daughters and two sons. We enjoy spending time with each other and our children, dinners out, listening to music, and often spend a great deal of time in the backyard gardening or lounging by the pool. Naturally too, I have a passion for sewing and creating!

When I was a child, my Mother had an old singer sewing machine that weighed a ton and had tension issues that I did not know how to fix. But I wanted to sew. I would play around on it some and altered my first pair of jeans when I was eleven.

When our daughters were small, my husband bought me a Kenmore sewing machine. Having the girls energized me to start sewing as I couldn’t wait to make them something! I upgraded to a Husqvarna Viking sewing/embroidery machine a couple years later and it was back then that JWEAR was born. I created logos and tossed ideas around. The prospect of starting a sewing business, designing and creating whatever someone might want or need, was exciting.

Life got busier, time passed a bit and our family grew. As our boys came along, sewing was still a strong desire, but time was limited—just doing what we all do with families and jobs, etc. My husband has always been a strong supporter of my sewing habit, overlooking the mounds of fabric stashed here and there (as well as in the basement) meant for this or that. And when I wanted to add an additional machine seven years ago, he was good with that as well. Which dredged up JWEAR again. But times were still busy, our schedules crazy and JWEAR slipped away.

During 2020, some changes were made, my husband purchased a JUKI industrial machine for me and JWEAR crept back in. With support and encouragement from my husband and children, JWEAR Inc. has come to fruition.

I am focusing on hand and travel bags, wallets, and custom orders of the same. I hope to expand a bit with some items for children, pets and offer select apparel items in the future as well. I also hope to write my own bag patterns and create a line of fabrics to use in my creations and also sell to fellow bagmakers, sewists and creators!
